A Sense Of Peace And Comfort

What do you feel when you walk into your garden? Do you feel a sense of peace and comfort? Do you walk out into it and see opportunities for wonderful times that you could have with your friends like having a BBQ and happy gatherings? What about a simple bit of R&R for yourself?

This goes for your home, too. The space in your home and its surroundings should give you a sense of peace and happiness as this is where you spend most of your time. A place where you can unwind after a long day, whether it be inside, or out. But, make your space a safe haven to shed off the stress.

The great thing about decorating your home and garden is that you can make it your own. Get your creative juices flowing and put your stamp on it! Whatever your taste and style, you can be happy in a space that you created. Ask yourself what style of garden you would like and get your creative juices flowing by looking at all the ideas you can get on the internet. There are loads of amazing ideas out there.

Spending time in a garden, or nature brings you pleasure. Research has shown that plants significantly lower stress. There are different "paths" (note the pun) of gardens that you can create. You can create your space either for beauty (flowers that attract butterflies), a water feature if the sound of flowing water relaxes you, or a rewarding vegetable garden. Like I mentioned above, there are so many great ideas out there, and you can research what appeals to you. If expenses concern you there's no rush! Create your space gradually, buying a plant here and there, every now and then. Plants make great gifts, so start dropping those hints before your birthday!

Having a social area in the garden with a BBQ is also a great way to get out of the house and spend some time outdoors, and your loved ones. Garden chairs and tables outside to drink your coffee or tea with friends are also great to have. Can you envision comfy chairs, drinking cocktails, and the sound of laughter in the background? That sounds like happiness to me!

But, what if you don't have a garden and you live in an apartment? Plants and flowers make a great statement and give your place a bit of life. Here’s a link to help you decorate your home with plants; 6 Ways to Decorate With Plants. Have fun!

There are quite a few species of plants that you will be able to propagate with. This will save you a lot of money and seeing your cuttings grow into mature plants is so rewarding. I've attached a link for you to look at different ways of propagating here.
